Headquartered in Broxburn, West Lothian, Ian Macleod Distillers possesses and oversees the operations of Glengoyne distillery in Stirlingshire and Tamdhu distillery in Knockando on Speyside. The company is renowned for its leading blended brands, including Isle of Skye, Smokehead, and King Robert. Additionally, it engages in the production of various independent bottlings under the banners ‘As We Get It,’ ‘Chieftain’s,’ and ‘Dun Bheagan.’

Ranked as the 10th largest Scotch whisky company globally, Ian Macleod Distillers boasts an annual production and sales volume exceeding 15 million bottles of spirits. With a significant presence in the ‘buyers’ own brand’ market, the company has been a key supplier of own-label spirits to major European supermarket groups for over four decades. Ian Macleod Distillers holds a 50% stake in Broxburn Bottlers, sharing the other half with J&G Grant of Glenfarclas.
